Officials are investigating after Amarillo firefighters put out a small fire in a home on south Virginia Street on Wednesday afternoon. According to Amarillo Fire Department officials, crews were called to the 1500 block of S. Virginia and found a split level home with light smoke showing. The stairwell in the home was partially burned and no one was hurt. The home was not occupied and appeared to be abandoned. The Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire.

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Officials are investigating after Amarillo firefighters put out a small fire in a home on south Virginia Street on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Amarillo Fire Department officials, crews were called to the 1500 block of S. Virginia and found a split-level home with light smoke showing.

The stairwell in the home was partially burned and no one was hurt.
