2 Arrested In Double Homicide

Pawn shop records for hocked jewelry taken from a Bushland double homicide victim's home linked two Amarillo men to the crimes, authorities said Saturday.

Authorities have booked Michael Edward Ryan and Jason Michael Williams, both 29, into the Potter County Detention Center in connection with the Tuesday shooting deaths of Claude Robertson, 74, and Allen Hazlewood, 51, west of Bushland,

Authorities suspect the shootings were mo-° tivated by robbery. Each man will be formally charged Monday with capital murder, said Lt. Gary True, Potter-Randall Special Crimes Unit coordinator.

Prosecutors bring capital murder charges in cases involving multiple deaths and when the deaths occurred in conjunction with another crime.
