The bludgeoned body of Billy Clifton Johnson, 50, was found by police February 25 in a salvage yard at 1020 W Fifth Ave. Two weeks later, Darrell Seaburn McCurdy, 19 was arrested in New Mexico and charged with murder in connection with Johnson's death. He was later indicted for murder and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
