On November 5, 2009, at 10:40 PM, officers were sent to the Spotted Pony Bar at 2042 Paramount on report of shots fired inside the bar. When they arrived, they found that an Armed Robbery had occurred and at least two patrons of the bar had been shot.

The suspect had entered the bar and immediately began to fire shots and announced he was committing a robbery.

Thomas Reeve, W/M 28, from Berkshire, England was shot once in his upper body and died later from that wound at Northwest Texas Hospital.

Gordon Gollihugh was shot in the hand and is recovering from that wound.

Mr. Reeve and two traveling companions from England were traveling across the United States from California to Florida and had stopped in Amarillo for the night and visited the bar.

Several patrons, along with the bar, were robbed of items and cash. Several people were assaulted, and one female was sexually assaulted during this crime.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video.

Ray Carlos Cisneros, H/M 25, from Lubbock, Texas was identified as the suspect, and he was arrested approximately 18 hrs after the crime at a local truck stop.

Cisneros has been charged with Capital Murder. This case has not yet gone to trial.
