AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A police chase in Amarillo ended in an odd place -- the roof of a home.

According to police, an officer tried to stop a white, Ford Ranger 4:55 a.m. on Wichita Avenue at Cleveland Street.

The driver refused to stop and a chase ensued.

The driver eventually got out of the truck at Almond and Oak streets.

He climbed onto the roof of a home in the 3100 block of Oak where he was arrested.

The suspect was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared before being booked into jail.
